Honda Exclusive Line of Electric Vehicles Intended Only for China

Presenting the Honda Ye Series: From EV crossovers to sporty GTs

Honda has three exciting new cars, the Ye P7, Ye S7, and the Ye GT concept, that will make their premiere at next week’s Auto China exhibition in Beijing. Sadly, only the Chinese market will be able to enjoy these cutting-edge rides.

These cars are constructed on an advanced electric vehicle chassis. There will be two variants of the Ye P7 available: one in a bright blue colour and the other in a stunning mustard colour. The first configuration is rear-wheel drive (RWD) with a single motor, which promises “sporty and crisp handling” and may force you to tighten your seatbelt. Then there’s the dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) variant, which is aimed towards people who want power and a dynamic driving experience. It gives you the impression that the car is reading your mind, which may be a reference to the growing popularity of autonomous cars.

With interiors that offer plenty of room, relaxing ambient lighting, and an inventive AI-based digital assistant to improve your driving experience, the Ye P7 and Ye S7 both have a traditional crossover SUV look.

The Ye GT concept, which was unveiled in the third quarter, appeals to car fans with its red, aggressive appearance and broader, lower stance. With this model, Honda has optimised dynamic performance to provide the “ultimate driving experience.” The design places the driver at the centre of the action with a “race-driver” type cockpit, and the seats provide an experience like to that of a movie theatre.

The Honda Ye series, which aims to release six models centred on a “man maximum, machine minimum” concept that emphasises user-friendly, human-centric designs, is only getting started with these models. The capacity, size, and range of the battery are yet unknown.

Dongfeng Honda and GAC Honda worked together to build the P7 and S7, highlighting the fact that these models are specifically designed for the Chinese market. By the end of 2024, these crossovers should be at dealerships, and the production GT should be available for purchase by the end of 2025. Watch this space for further information about this fascinating new phase of Honda electric vehicle adventure.
