Aprilia Motorcycles’ latest products, the SE-09 SBK Special Editions of RSV4 Factory and Tuono V4 Factory, are a vivid tribute to the company’s historic World Superbike championship victory in 2009.
These unique versions debuted with Aprilia Motorcycles renowned MotoGP riders, Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro, at the exciting Circuit of the Americas MotoGP event in mid-April.
Crafted around the robust Factory models of the 1099cc RSV4 and 1077cc Tuono, these spirited V4s pay homage to the historic victory of the RSV4 in the WSBK championship on July 26, 2009, at Brno, piloted by the legendary two-time champion, Max Biaggi. That memorable day, Biaggi stood tall on the podium, accompanied by his Ten Kate Honda teammates, Carlos Checa and Jonathan Rea.
Since then, the RSV4 superbike has made history by winning three rider and four manufacturer world championships, as well as an incredible 44 victories and 102 podium places.
The completely faired RSV4 will be available at dealerships in June for £23,450 (£2150 more than its ordinary cousin), while the Tuono will cost £18,550 (£1850 more than usual). New carbon front brake air intakes for improved cooling, as well as a sleek carbon front mudguard, set it apart. Each bike is outfitted in a stunning red and black livery evocative of Biaggi’s winning season, and each is assigned a unique number, adding to its uniqueness. Splashes of white cover the top fairing, fuel tank, and tail fairing, emphasizing its racing roots.
Aside from these enhancements, they maintain their signature characteristics, such as semi-active suspension, lean-sensitive electronics, a TFT display, and more.
